This free webcam overlay maker creates a facecam border — static or animated — for your stream in seconds. Choose a shape, a style and your brand colors, then download a transparent PNG for a still frame, or an animated WebM for moving borders. Drop it over your camera source in OBS, Streamlabs or any encoder on Twitch, Kick and YouTube. Free with no watermark — sign in with your Twitch or Kick account to download, and your design stays saved.

New: looks, name plates, badges and an OBS link

Start from 48 ready-made looks — neon, esports, cozy pastel, luxe metal, seasonal and platform colours — or build your own from 8 frame outlines, 7 aspect ratios and 36 line styles with metal, glass and holographic finishes. Add a name plate with 12 fonts and a Twitch, Kick, YouTube, TikTok, X or Instagram icon, a LIVE or REC badge, corner ornaments and your own logo.

The OBS browser source link plays animated borders with real transparency, so you don't need a chroma key at all.

    Animated webcam borders

Pick from 22 animated styles — pulse glow, breathing, rotating gradient, marching dashes, rainbow cycle, comet trail, twin comets, flowing shine, color pulse, neon flicker, a loading ring, a heartbeat pulse, rainbow flow, a snake, subtle shimmer or a glow sweep, plus six new ones: sparkle trail, orbiting dots, RGB glitch, scanline, aurora and draw-on. Every animation loops seamlessly in 2 to 8 seconds. The preview loops live so you can dial in the speed and colors. When you're happy, copy the OBS link or export an animated WebM.

How to use the animated overlay in OBS

The easiest way is the OBS link: add a Browser source in OBS, paste the link and set the width and height shown in the tool. The border animates live with a transparent background.

Prefer a file? In Chrome and Edge the animated WebM keeps real transparency: add it as a Media Source with Loop on and you're done. Other browsers export it on a green, blue or magenta background — the tool picks the colour that doesn't clash with your frame — which you remove with a Chroma Key filter.

How to add a static webcam overlay in OBS

Add your camera as a Video Capture Device, then add an Image source above it and select the transparent PNG you downloaded here. Resize the overlay so its transparent window lines up with your camera, and lock the layer. The frame is exported with a transparent centre, so your face shows cleanly through the middle.

Pick a shape that fits your layout

A 16:9 frame suits a standard corner cam, 1:1 and circle are popular for Just Chatting and vertical scenes, and 9:16 is made for vertical streams on TikTok, Kick and YouTube Shorts. Each shape exports at a high resolution so the border stays crisp at any size.

    Frequently asked questions

Can I make an animated webcam overlay?

Yes. Choose from 22 animated styles — pulse, breathing, rotating gradient, marching dashes, rainbow, comet, twin comets, flowing shine, color pulse, neon flicker, loading ring, heartbeat, rainbow flow, snake, shimmer, glow sweep, sparkle trail, orbiting dots, RGB glitch, scanline, aurora or draw-on. Use the OBS browser source link for a transparent, live border, or export an animated WebM on a green screen and chroma-key it in OBS.

How do I make a webcam overlay for OBS?

Pick a shape, style and colors above, download the transparent PNG, then add it as an Image source above your camera in OBS and line up the transparent centre with your face.

    Is the exported PNG transparent?

Yes. The static PNG is exported with a fully transparent centre and outer area, so only the border shows over your webcam feed.

    Is the animated WebM transparent?

In Chrome and Edge, yes: the WebM keeps real transparency, so you add it as a Media Source in OBS with no filter. Other browsers export it on a green, blue or magenta background that you remove with a Chroma Key filter; the tool picks the key colour that doesn't clash with your frame. The OBS browser source link is always transparent.

Does it work for Twitch, Kick and YouTube?

Yes. A PNG or WebM overlay works in any streaming software, so the same facecam border is perfect for Twitch, Kick, YouTube and vertical platforms.
