Looks

Ready-made avatars

Point at a look to try it. Your own images, faces and mic settings stay.

This free PNGTuber maker turns your art into a mic-reactive avatar — like a PNGTuber or a lightweight VTuber, without a webcam or a Live2D model. Upload a mouth-closed and a mouth-open image and your avatar swaps and bounces when you speak — or start with one of 16 built-in characters. Add multiple expressions and switch them with a click or a number-key hotkey, turn on auto-blink and idle breathing so it feels alive even when you're quiet, then fine-tune the motion, size, position, rotation, flip, shadow, glow and background. Save your avatar and reload it any time. Your mic and images never leave your device.

New: 48 looks, live reactions, name tags and emotes

Start from 48 ready-made looks — cute, cozy, cool, spooky, retro, seasonal and Twitch, Kick and YouTube colors — or mix your own from 8 mouth styles, 8 eye styles, 14 headsets and hats and 5 face accessories. Add a name tag with your Twitch, Kick, YouTube, TikTok or X handle above or below the avatar, and put it on a backplate with a pattern, a voice pulse or an orbit ring.

On stream, press Q, W, E, R, T or Y for instant reactions — hearts, confetti, wow, huh, angry and sweat — and let reaction faces return to face 1 after 3, 6 or 10 seconds. Press M to mute the avatar, also in OBS. Download every face as Twitch emotes (112, 56 and 28 px) and Discord emoji (128 px), as a profile picture, or as PNG frames for other PNGTuber apps.

How to use your PNGTuber in OBS

Pick a character or upload your images, press Start microphone and talk to test the reaction. Adjust the sensitivity and hold time so the mouth opens when you speak and rests when you're quiet. Then press Add to OBS: with OBS's WebSocket server turned on, the tool adds a transparent Browser source to your scene that moves its mouth with OBS's own mic meter — no green screen needed. Prefer a window? Open the Pop-out window and add it to OBS with a Window Capture; it opens on a green key color, so just add a Chroma Key filter.

Expressions & hotkeys

Add expressions like happy, angry or surprised — built-in characters already have 9 faces, or give each one its own mouth-closed and mouth-open images. Click an expression chip to switch, or press the matching number key (1–9) while the tool or its pop-out window is in front — OBS follows live. Give each one an optional Blink image (eyes closed) for auto-blink, and an optional Shouting image that shows when you get loud.

No art? Pick a built-in character

16 built-in characters — a raven, cat, fox, bunny, robot, chibi and more — react, blink and breathe right away, with color palettes (Twitch, Kick and YouTube colors too), eye styles, hats and glasses. You can even download their frames as PNGs for other PNGTuber apps. When you're ready to use your own art, export two PNGs per expression — one idle, one with the mouth open — and upload them. Transparent PNGs work best.

Frequently asked questions

How does the PNGTuber react to my voice?

It listens to your microphone in the browser and measures how loud you are. When you speak above the sensitivity threshold, it shows your mouth-open image and bounces; when you're quiet, it shows the mouth-closed image and can auto-blink.

Can it animate the mouth on a single photo?

No — it can't detect or open a mouth on one picture. You provide two versions of your character: one with the mouth closed and one with the mouth open. The mic simply switches between your two images. If you upload only one image, the avatar still reacts with a motion (bounce, hop, jelly, tilt and more), but the mouth won't change until you add a second image.

How do expressions and hotkeys work?

Add up to 9 expressions — built-in faces or your own images. Switch by clicking the expression chip or pressing its number key (1–9) while the tool or its pop-out window is in front, and OBS follows live. It's handy for reacting on stream — happy, angry, surprised — without hunting for the right button.

Do my saved avatars and images get uploaded?

No. Saved avatars stay only in your own browser, and your microphone and images never leave your device.

How do I get it into OBS?

Press Add to OBS. With the WebSocket server turned on in OBS (Tools → WebSocket Server Settings), the tool adds a transparent Browser source to your scene and keeps it updated while the page is open. The avatar keeps working in OBS after you close the page — keep it open only to switch faces and reactions live. Or open the Pop-out window and add it as a Window Capture — it opens on a green key color, so just add a Chroma Key filter.
