Bregvorn's legal documents are maintained in English. Links from other site languages point to this version.

In short: We don't access your Twitch password. Chat messages aren't stored. We don't sell your data to third parties. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

1. Data We Collect

When you sign in with Twitch

When you sign in to Bregvorn via Twitch OAuth, only the following information is obtained:

  • Twitch username and user ID
  • Profile picture URL
  • An access token required for channel operations — your password is never accessed
  • The email address on your Twitch account, if Twitch shares it with us — see Email below

When you sign in with Kick or YouTube

If you sign in (or connect) with Kick or YouTube instead, we obtain the equivalent information from that platform: your username or channel name and ID, profile picture, the access token needed to run the panel, and the email address on that account if the platform shares it with us. Email handling is the same as for Twitch — see Email.

During use

Chat messages and event data (new follower, subscriber and donation alerts) are processed solely to be displayed on screen and are not permanently stored on our servers.

Automatically collected technical data

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system type
  • Anonymized error and crash reports (to improve the panel)

2. How We Use Data

The data we collect is used only for the following purposes:

  • To identify your account and keep your session active
  • To connect to your Twitch channel and run the panel's features
  • To detect and resolve technical issues
  • To improve the product (anonymous usage statistics)
  • To email you announcements about major updates and changes that affect your panel — you can turn these off at any time (see Email below)

We don't use your data for advertising, and we never send you advertising or marketing emails.

Email

If your Twitch, Kick or YouTube account shares an email address with us, we may use it to send you announcement emails: major Bregvorn updates and changes that affect your panel. They contain no ads, they are infrequent, and every one of them has an unsubscribe link; in most email apps you can also unsubscribe with one click. We don't send stream summaries or any other kind of email under this setting; if we ever want to, we will ask you separately.

We send these emails to people who use Bregvorn, on the basis of our legitimate interest in telling you about changes to the service you use (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). You can object at any time using any of the options below, and we stop immediately. These emails are only about Bregvorn itself — never third-party offers.

How your choice is made and changed:

  • New accounts. If you create your Bregvorn account on or after 10 October 2026, announcement emails are on from the start, and the "What's new" window of the release you joined with is not shown to you. You can turn them off at any time in Settings or with the unsubscribe link in any email.
  • "What's new" window. If your account has an email address and you haven't made an email choice under these rules yet, the next "What's new" window in the panel asks you once. It states that closing it or pressing OK means you agree to receive announcement emails, next to an equally prominent "I don't want emails" button. Pressing OK or closing the window (the × button, the Esc key or clicking outside it) turns announcement emails on; "I don't want emails" turns them off. If you didn't tick the old opt-in box on the sign-in screen, you currently get no emails, and the window tells you so before you choose. If you close the window, the notice that appears right after it lets you turn emails off again with one click. Later "What's new" windows only show news; they never change your email choice. If you unsubscribed using a link in one of our emails, the window does not ask again and does not change that.
  • Settings. You can turn announcement emails on or off at any time under Settings › Sound & notifications › Email announcements.
  • Unsubscribe link. Every email has an unsubscribe link. It takes effect immediately.
  • Receiving announcement emails is never required to use Bregvorn.
  • If your account has no email address, we send you nothing, and the "What's new" window shows only the news.
  • If you never open the panel after this change, nothing changes for you.
  • We keep a record of your most recent choice: what it was, when you made it, where (account creation, "What's new" window — OK or closing it —, settings or unsubscribe link) and which version of the wording you saw.
  • You can also ask us to stop by writing to us (see Contact). We stop immediately.
  • Your address is never sold or shared for marketing. To deliver emails we may use an email delivery provider that receives only your address and the message.

3. Sharing With Third Parties

We don't sell, rent or share your personal data for commercial purposes.

Limited sharing may occur in the following cases:

  • Twitch, Kick and Google (YouTube): OAuth token verification so the service can work. Each platform's own privacy policy applies.
  • Infrastructure providers (Cloudflare): Page delivery and DDoS protection. No personal data is shared.
  • Legal obligation: With authorized authorities in the event of a court order or legal requirement.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account information (username, profile picture, email address and your email choice) for the lifetime of your active account. When you request deletion of your account, all data is permanently erased within 30 days.

Chat messages and event data are not permanently stored on our servers; they are only processed in real time and displayed on your screen.

5. Security

All data transmission is encrypted over HTTPS. Access tokens are stored in encrypted form on the server side. Regular security reviews are performed.

That said, please remember that no transmission over the internet is 100% secure. If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it via Discord.
